Structure and navigation in the electronic headquarters
This electronic site is designed to make it as easy as possible to navigate through it, in order to locate and access as quickly and easily as possible the procedures it contains, as well as the rest of the information.
To facilitate navigation, it has the following features, elements and tools:
Structure:
The first important feature for navigation is the headquarters structure itself, composed of several blocks of information and/or management, such as: The Personal Area, Information and Management, Tax Doctrine, Access directly and the Foot.
All blocks are composed of several topics, and in turn, each topic of several sub-topics, which are presented in such a way that it is very easy to change from one topic or sub-topic to another.
Style of presentation:
The second important feature to favor navigation is the presentation style, characterized by the typography in three colors: blue, black and white on blue background in some areas such as the header, menu bar or Pie. All texts in blue color (or white on blue background) are clickable, and change to purple color once visited.
Menu bar:
The menu bar is a fundamental element for navigation. This bar is reproduced on all pages of the headquarters (except on the screens of the démarches), in a way that allows, with a simple click, access to any topic of the blocks of “Information and démarches” or “Tax Doctrine” from any other page of the headquarters.
Explanatory texts:
The third feature is that in general, all clickable texts have a short explanatory text associated with them in order to inform about the content of the text and thus avoid having to access them to know what they contain.
Levels of navigation:
Despite the number of procedures, information files, manuals, etc., it has been possible to reduce the number of navigation levels to 4 or 5 at the most, although access to a large part of the most important and used procedures can be reached practically with two navigation levels.
Management vs information:
Another important characteristic is the principle followed in the presentation of the contents, consisting in that the efforts and the information to carry them out are as close as possible, thus avoiding having to navigate from one place to another, when informing oneself about how to carry out a certain management.
Route or Migas:
An important element for navigation is the Route (“Migas”) that appears at the top of each page, immediately after the menu bar of each page, which allows you to know at any time where you are and return to some previous level of the Route, by clicking on it.
Multiple informative pages (paginated):
When the information on any topic is very extensive, this information is presented in multiple pages or paginated pages, which have on the one hand an index that allows direct access to the desired chapter, and on the other navigating from one page to another through the “next page” or “previous page” buttons. The informative pages, in addition, may contain in the right column, links to procedures, regulations, related content, etc.
Internal search engine:
Finally, an element or rather a very important tool for locating any type of information or management existing in the new headquarters, is the Internal search engine, located in the Menu Bar, and therefore accessible from anywhere in the headquarters.
The search engine allows in the first instance to search for the term, phrase or text entered in its drawer, and once the results are presented, which will usually be many, it has several mechanisms to reduce the number of results, such as:
Filters:
It has several filters, the most important being the “Type of information” filter.
Advanced search: functionality that is activated through the “More” button and that allows you to search for content that meets certain conditions, such as exact phrases, containing all the words searched, etc.
